We offer experiences where Saimaa appears as we know it: a home we are proud of. Our food is created from pure, wild-grown, and hyper-local ingredients that tell the story of the surrounding nature and nearby farms. Our operations are based on responsibility – it is reflected in small choices and big values: respecting nature, sustainable living, and nurturing local culture.

Nature Accomodation
Experiential and ecological accommodation in the tranquillity of nature. Sleep well on a floating raft cabin on the gentle waves of Saimaa or in a wooden tent in the forest’s shade.
A slower way to travel

You can book accommodation electronically if you wish, but most experiences do not have an online booking option.

Experiences
Paljon olen Suomessa ja pohjoismaissa liikkunut. Lukuisissa mökeissä ja tuvissa yöpynyt, mutta Uhkuan lauttamökki ja -sauna ovat vertaansa vailla.
Sain tehdä käsittämättömän nostalgiamatkan lapsuuteni tunnelmiin. Puuhellan sytyttäminen, saunan löylyt, näkymä järvelle ja kovat pakkaset. Pilkkivedet oven edessä. Mökki itsessään on upeiden yksityiskohtien maailmansa ja todella viihtyisä ja käytännöllinen.
Oleiluni kruunasi kauan kaipaamani madesoppa sekä Astan ja Ilkan kanssa tehty retki Astuvansalmelle. Taatusti tulen uudestaan!

Glad that I decided to rent a raft on Lake Saimaa. With a rowing boat, a private sauna and delicious meals prepared from local sustainable ingredients, it was a truly unique experience. The host even taught me how to heat the sauna and prepare a traditional sauna whisk.
The views were amazing and perfect for spiritual healing. No electricity or Wi-Fi – but trust me, you won't miss either of them when you are there. Thanks to Asta, Ilkka and their lovely dogs, Sylvi and Teppo. A place I would visit again without hesitation.
Our snowshoeing adventure to see the Astuvansalmi rock paintings was unforgettable – exceptional hospitality, delicious homemade food and the warmest of welcomes. We felt more like friends than customers.
