By car or bike

Uhkua is located on the shores of Lake Saimaa in Nikinsalmi, between Mikkeli and Puumala. The easiest route is via the Green Gold Cultural Road from Ristiina. The distance is approximately 30 km from Ristiina, 60 km from Mikkeli and 250 km from Helsinki.

Parking is available for all our guests. If you’re staying overnight, you can park close to the accommodation by the shore.

By bus

Public transport doesn’t reach Uhkua directly. You can travel by train or bus from Helsinki to Mikkeli, and continue by bus to Ristiina or Hurissalo. We’re happy to arrange pick-up from Mikkeli, Ristiina or Hurissalo by prior arrangement. By water

Lake Saimaa also offers wonderful opportunities to arrive by water. The Vuoltee Route passes our shore, connecting Yövesi and Louhivesi and continuing towards Luonteri. Please note that the clearance under Nikinsalmi Bridge is 2.5 metres.

The nearest grocery stores are in Ristiina (30 km) and Hurissalo (14 km).
