By car or by bike

Uhkua is located on the shores of Lake Saimaa at the border of Mikkeli and Puumala, in Nikinsalmi, Ristiina. You reach Nikinsalmi from the direction of Ristiina via the Green Gold Cultural Road (Suurlahdentie). From Ristiina, the distance is 30 km, from Mikkeli 60 km, and from Helsinki 250 km. From the direction of Helsinki, the fastest route goes via the fourth road through Lahti to Ristiina.

There are a few parking spaces in the yard for participants of the trips. Guests can park closer to the accommodation by the beach.

By bus

Public transportation does not go all the way to the destination. From Helsinki and directly from the airport, there is a train/bus connection to Mikkeli (with possible transfers). By bus, you can travel from Mikkeli to Ristiina and Hurissalo, which is along the Mikkeli-Puumala route. We will pick up our customers from Hurissalo, Ristiina, or Mikkeli if necessary. Waterway

We also have good transport connections by water from other parts of Saimaa. You can easily land with canoes, kayaks, and small boats. The Vuolteen route, which connects Yövesi and Louhivesi, passes by our shore under the Nikinsalmi bridge (clearance height 2.5 m), and by following it, you can reach Luonteri.

The nearest grocery stores can be found in Ristiina (30 km) and Hurissalo (14 km).
